The skills available through Harmony controllers range from simple to more intricate. The device can control basic aspects of one system, such as turning it on and off, controlling the volume, and changing to specific channels. However, users can also pre-program different 'Activities'. For example, users can put together a 'Movie Night' command that simultaneously turns the TV to a movie channel, dims the lights, and turns up the volume.
